Welcome to the Cornerstone Community Baptist Church Website.

Cornerstone Community Baptist Church is an Independent, Christian  Church. We are a Ministry that believes on the sufficiency of God's Word; Jesus Christ the Living Word whose sacrifice on the Cross is sufficient to save all those who will repent and believe. The Written Word, the Holy Bible, is God's sufficient means to save those Jesus calls to Himself and is the sufficient means for the maturity of believers in Christ. We simply endeavor to learn and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Our worship services are mostly, but not completely traditional. We use a blended music ministry of hymns, choruses, and Acapella. The main focus of the services and ministries involved is on the teaching of the Word of God. The preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the Whole Counsel of God is what the local church is all about. The services held at Cornerstone Community Baptist Church are for equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry in and outside the local church.

 

The Importance and Purpose of the New Testament Local Church

     Today, there is a lot of confusion when it comes to the purpose of the New Testament Local Church.  There are a lot of Professing Christians who do not see the Local Church as a Necessity in their walk with the Lord.  Because of False Teachers and the neglect of the Discipleship, professing Christians are continually falling into the trap of what is called in the Book of Hebrews chapter 10, "Forsaking the Assembling of yourselves together"........A lot of Christians treat the Local Church as the Black Plague and are more comfortable to stay at home or do other things on the First Day of the week and other regular meeting days, than to be in the place God has provided for His people to Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  The Local Church is no different than the Old Testament Synagogue where God's people gather to hear and learn the Holy Scriptures. 

     At Cornerstone Community Baptist Church we teach with great emphasis the importance of gathering together, especially as the Second coming of Christ is drawing nearer.  We need each other and we must remember it is Satan's desire to separate God's people from each other, for when we are alone, we are more vulnerable to his attacks.  We need to stand together, to edify, build each other up in the faith. Let us submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us.  James 4:7
